The Adio Skate Shoes - Adio shoes history started in 1998 by skate shoes exec. American Chris Miller who owns Planet Earth Skateboards, and before retiring was a Professional Skateboarder himself. Skate boards being made of seven layers of Canadian maple saw great sales in the early 90s, but with inexpensive boards being made overseas from cheap labour, the skate companies focus changed to Skate Shoes and Skate apparel. The Adio shoes company is actually pronounced (Audio) and specialize in Adio men’s skate shoes and Adio women’s skate shoes but also produce sandals and designer trainers. Some of the Pro models from Adio footwear include designs by Kenny Anderson, Ed Selego, Jeremy Wray, Bam Margera.
As a side note for skate shoes, the first commercial skate board appeared in 1959 according to “the Concrete Wave, the history of skate boarding” by Michael Brooke and the first skateboarding competition took place in Hermosa beach in 1963.
